Based in Colorado, Salt & Klay Soap LLC is a small soap company owned and operated by Melissa Clinkingbeard. We love to keep products simple and clean with creations your skin will love. Every piece is unique to itself because everything is made in really small batches from scratch. Many of our creations are made with clay. It is a very luxurious and earthy material that elevates our products. We love clay, from pottery to soaps you will find it in almost all of our products. As we grow our business, we take pride in being committed to creating beautiful rustic, handcrafted artisan soaps, candles, skin care products, faux floral arrangements, home decor, and paintings.

About Our Products
The BARE essentials line is our natural skincare line created with no chemicals or unnecessary additives and only simple and clean ingredient. Each creation has a simple purpose and goal in mind, that is the BARE natural base, unscented or created with essential oils and no fragrance oils. This line was created for those who are looking to live a healthier and more natural lifestyle, for children, and those with sensitive skin or various skin conditions. It no secret that we have been told many times what we put into our body can be a direct reflection of how our body responds. Our skin is the largest organ in our body and we absorb many things through our skin. We deserve to treat ourselves to simple and clean ingredients to keep our skin healthy and happy. Products outside of the BARE essentials line are kept simple and clean with the addition of fragrance oils. We strive to create beautiful rustic products and know you will enjoy them as much as us.
Our Story
Meet The Owner
My name is Melissa Clinkingbeard I am the owner and operator of Salt & Klay Soap LLC. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA with a very loving close family. I am a mother to two beautiful toddlers and a wife to an amazing husband. My husband and I eventually settled in Colorado where we started to grow our family. The air is very dry in Colorado and our skin was itchy and dry no matter what soap we used, even sensitive skin soaps didn't help. When our children were born I started my journey creating handmade rustic soaps to keep our skin healthy and happy. Many of my soaps are designed and formulated with children in mind. They are palm free, with many vegan options. The BARE essentials line is my natural soap line designed with simple and clean natural ingredient including, essential oils. Clay is a skin loving earthy material used in all my soaps. I have worked with clay all my life and enjoy creating pottery as well. I love working with elements from earth. If you're into zodiac signs it makes sense, I am a Taurus my element is earth. From my home to yours, I hope you enjoy these products as much as we do.
